Join Joi Weaver for this class on the Bayeux Tapestry. In these two class sessions you will learn how to work some of the embroidery stitches used in the Bayeux Tapestry. We will learn some of the history behind the Tapestry itself, as well as some of the distinctive Anglo-Saxon techniques used to create it. Materials will be provided.

Joi Weaver has been doing fiber arts since she was old enough to hold a needle. She loves learning new crafts, especially unusual pre-modern ones like nålbinding and sprang. She can often be found on the back roads of Bellingham, foraging for dye and fiber plants.
