Join Joi Weaver and learn the ancient art of sprang! This netting technique has been found on Bronze Age bog mummies, and was once highly prized for use in military sashes. In this class, we will learn the basics of sprang and make a small bag. 

You will need one skein of cotton yarn*. We have multiple worsted weight cottons available in store that will work for this class, but you are welcome to bring your own.

Joi Weaver has been doing fiber arts since she was old enough to hold a needle. She loves learning new crafts, especially unusual pre-modern ones like nålbinding and sprang. She can often be found on the back roads of Bellingham, foraging for dye and fiber plants.
