Weave Your Own Blanket On Our Floor Loom

weave your own blanket

Been craving your very own handwoven lap blanket? Our floor loom is warped up and ready for you!

We know that not everyone has the space for a full floor loom, and so we are making ours available to you. For just $150, plus the cost of the yarn you choose for your weft, you can sit in our shop and weave a beautiful lap blanket that is sure to be treasured for generations to come.

It works like this: You send us an email at info@nwyarns.com letting us know that you'd like to get on the blanket weaving schedule. Then we will contact you to get you on the schedule. Each person has 3 weeks to complete their blanket, which we figure is more than enough time - most folks will finish their blankets in about a week and a half.

Haven't woven before, but want to get in on this blanket-y action? We have you covered! For an additional fee of $35, Heather Seevers will teach you the basic weaving techniques you need to make the blanket.

Please note that you will need to work on your blanket during shop hours, and the warp will periodically change according to our whims. Each warping that we do is good for three blankets, and so any warp changes will happen after those blankets are woven. That said, we will absolutely consider any special requests, but be aware that it may take some time for your warp request to become a reality. Right now, we have it warped up in a lovely rainbow. Pair that with a solid-colored or color-changing weft, and you have some serious pretty going on.

This is a great opportunity, and we are so excited to offer it to you all. Hit us up and get on the schedule. We can't wait to see what you create!

Sign me up - I want to weave a blanket!
