Technique Tuesday - Magic Loop

Tired of using double-pointed needles?  Or just want to skip learning how to use them altogether and start knitting in the round?  Learn how to use the Magic Loop technique, and just use one circular needle instead! This popular knitting technique can be used to completely replace your use of double-pointed needles when knitting small diameter projects such as hats, mittens, socks, and sweater sleeves.

  

In this class with Heather, students will learn how to cast on and join the Magic Loop and how to knit with the Magic Loop.  You will need to bring yarn and 40-in circular needles in the correct size.

 

Skills needed:  students should already know how to cast on, cast off, knit and purl.
