Come settle in with me for a few hours of good company, natural willow, and making something with your hands.
We’ll be weaving whimsical little spiders from basketry willow grown and harvested at Hedgerow Willows. I’ll guide you through each step—showing you how to coax, bend, and weave the willow into shape while giving you plenty of room to make your spider your own.
You don’t need any weaving experience. This 2-hour workshop is about slowing down, learning something new, enjoying the process, and maybe laughing a little when the willow decides it has ideas of its own.
And if we have a little extra time, we’ll use some of our willow cutoffs and wool or cotton thread to create a delicate spider web for your new little friend.
You’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind willow spider, a web to call home, and hopefully a new appreciation for the simple joy of working with materials grown right here on the farm.
All materials are provided. Just bring yourself, your curiosity, and a willingness to play with willow. Come weave with me!

I’m Kaisha—a shepherdess, fiber artist, farmer, and lifelong maker who loves getting my hands dirty and turning what the land provides into something useful, beautiful, and lasting.
My work with Willow & Wool grew from a simple love of sheep, plants, traditional skills, and the stories held in handmade things. I raise Finnsheep and work with their wool, grow and weave willow, and spend a good deal of my time somewhere between the pasture, the hedgerows, and my studio.
Whether I’m teaching someone to spin wool, weaving willow, talking sheep, or inviting people onto the farm, my goal is always the same: to make traditional skills approachable, meaningful, and fun—and to help people see the possibility in the materials growing and grazing right around them.
