Ashford Traveller Spinning Wheel

Small and beautiful -- the ideal travelling companion. This lightweight, compact castle wheel will spin fine to medium yarn using the 4 drive ratios, and bulky yarn with the optional jumbo flyer. The wheel is easy to start with double treadles that are hinged to allow a comfortable heel-toe action. Ball bearings make treadling smooth and effortless.

The new Traveller 3 design is reminiscent of the original Traveller first made back in 1977. With some great new improvements for 2023, it is sure to be very popular.

• Wooden handle threading hook with longer hook for easier threading.
• Convenient storage for threading hook.
• Scotch tension for simple, smooth accurate tension adjustment.
• Built-in lazy kate (that will also accommodate Jumbo bobbins).
• The 46cm (18”) drive wheel is now heavier resulting in 20% more momentum which means even less effort required to treadle.
• Stainless steel ball bearings, polyurethane hinge and con rod joints, and double treadle for comfortable, balanced, and effortless treadling.
